Description
The Solar Whiz is a high capacity, solar powered roof ventilation fan.
Solar Whiz units extract heat and/or moisture from a roof space. By removing the hot air that builds up in the roof spaces of houses and buildings, temperatures can be reduced from 70° to just a few degrees above the outside ambient temperature. That could be a difference of up to 30°C depending on the availability of replacement air.

â—‡ Made in Australia – Our units are proudly made locally in Melbourne, Australia.
â—‡ Designed for Australian Roofs – Most other brands available have been designed with American houses in mind. That means they are often meant for shingle roofs with a rigid steel flashing. The result is a product that is very difficult to install on metal roofs and tiled roofs.
â—‡ Solar Whiz has a 0.9mm aluminium flashing that is very easy to shape to the relevant type, making it quick and easy to install.
â—‡ Adjustable frames – The PV panel can be adjusted and angled to maximise exposure to sunlight.
â—‡ Night operations available – We have an optional night operations kit that allows the unit to run using minimal mains power overnight.
â—‡ Thermostat available – This can be used to turn the unit on when the temperature in the roof space reaches a particular temperature. It is generally recommended with the night operations kit.
â—‡ Fan-cap is made of aluminium, making it lighter and durable.
â—‡ Stainless steel body, brackets, fasteners and mesh. No mild steel!
The SW-AU-R-28 is a larger mid-range roof ventilator capable of extracting air from roof spaces of up to 180m². It has a rated capacity of 1700m3/h
The SW-AU-R-40 is their largest residential roof ventilator and is capable of extracting air from roof spaces of up to 250m². Its capacity is 2300 m3/h
